7th Edition of Padel Championship Concludes for Qatari Students in UK

London: The seventh edition of the Padel Championship for Qatari students in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland concluded today, with participation from 20 teams. The tournament was organized by the Cultural Attache Office in London in collaboration with the Qatar Padel Federation.

According to Qatar News Agency, Fahad bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, the Cultural Attache of the State of Qatar to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, along with Military Attache Colonel Mohammed bin Jassim Al Kuwari, crowned the top three teams. Students Adel Ghanem from King's College London and Rashid Wali from Loughborough University secured first place. Second place went to Tamim Al Hudaifi and Ali Al Hanzab from the University of Westminster, while Abdulrahman Al Mulla from the University of Hull and Hamad Al Marzouqi from the University of Liverpool took third place.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education highlighted the wide participation from students across various universities in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Al Kuwari expressed satisfaction with the success of the tournament and emphasized the Cultural Attache Office's dedication to organizing sports, cultural, and social activities for Qatari students to support them in their educational environments.

Al Kuwari noted the record participation in this edition, with 20 teams competing, and thanked the sponsors and partners for their role in the championship's success, contributing to the integration of Qatari students in their educational surroundings.

Winning students expressed their happiness and gratitude to the Qatari Cultural Attach© Office and all partners for the event's organization. They emphasized that the championship serves as an opportunity to enhance communication among Qatari students in the UK, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.

The students also highlighted how such events create a friendly atmosphere reminiscent of life in Qatar, helping to alleviate homesickness. They acknowledged the Cultural Attache Office's commitment to supporting Qatari students in their academic and social endeavors.
