70 Palestinians Martyred in Intensive Raids Launched by IOF on Gaza

Gaza: Nearly 70 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured following a wave of intense and sustained airstrikes launched by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from dawn until this morning, targeting multiple locations across the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, the IOF escalated their bombardment overnight in northern Gaza, striking several residential homes and civilian gathering areas, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.

Director-General of Palestine's Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al Bursh, stated to QNA that approximately 50 bodies, most of them children, and many injured individuals have been received at the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza since early morning.

He added that several casualties remain unreachable due to the extreme danger and difficulty faced by emergency teams operating under continuous bombardment. Medical personnel are being directly targeted, further complicating rescue efforts.

Al Bursh noted that ambulances are unable to access targeted sites in Jabalia town and refugee camp due to the high frequency and intensity of simultaneous airstrikes.

The death toll has now risen to nearly 70, as Israeli strikes have continued to target residential buildings and displacement camps across various areas of Gaza since dawn.

Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza reported 4 injuries as a result of gunfire and drone strikes on civilian gatherings near the Al-Asra Towers, northwest of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Israeli aircraft also fired indiscriminately, hitting homes in the Al-Shamaa area of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Since the beginning of the escalation on October 7, 2023, the total number of Palestinian casualties in Gaza has reached 52,908 deaths and 119,721 injuries.

The IOF renewed its aggression on Gaza on March 18, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19.

Throughout the ceasefire period, the Israeli entity repeatedly violated the agreement by continuing attacks on various parts of Gaza, resulting in further civilian casualties.

It also failed to implement agreed humanitarian protocols and tightened its blockade, exacerbating an already unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
