7.0-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Northeastern Taiwan


Yilan city: A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck an area approximately 32 kilometers off the coast of Yilan City in northeastern Taiwan, China, on Saturday, according to Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration.



According to Qatar News Agency, the quake occurred at a depth of 73 kilometers and was felt in Taipei, where buildings shook. Government sources in Taiwan stated there were no immediate reports of damage.
