6th Qatar International Art Festival Opens at Katara.

Doha: The 6th Qatar International Arts Festival (QIAF) 2024 commenced today at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), organized by Katara in collaboration with MAPS International, the International Council of Museums, and the British Council. The festival, which will run until November 30, features participation from 350 artists representing 70 countries, alongside 1,000 exhibitors in the painting and sculpture exhibition. According to Qatar News Agency, during the festival's opening, Director General of Katara, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, expressed his satisfaction with Katara hosting the event. He emphasized that the festival aligns with Katara's vision to enrich the cultural landscape and promote arts as a medium for inter-peoples communication. Dr. Al Sulaiti highlighted the festival's diversity as an opportunity to explore new art experiences and styles, underscoring the importance of cultural exchange among artists from various countries to enrich artistic dialogue and enhance communication. D r. Al Sulaiti further pointed out that the collaboration between Katara and MAPS International showcases a mutual dedication to supporting creativity, nurturing artistic talent, and offering a unique experience for the public. This partnership lays the groundwork for deeper cultural and artistic cooperation in the future. Over the course of six days, the festival will present a wide array of activities, art and cultural performances, and events.
