Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Six militants were killed in a security operation carried out by Pakistani army forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan.
According to Qatar News Agency, Radio Pakistan cited a statement issued by the Pakistani army on Tuesday, reporting that the operation was based on intelligence indicating militant movements in the Waziristan Agency. The operation resulted in the deaths of six militants, including a senior commander.
Earlier on Tuesday, ten militants were killed in a separate intelligence-based operation conducted by the Pakistani army in the town of Makerwal, Mianwali District.
Pakistani security forces have been conducting continuous operations for years to eliminate militant groups entrenched in the mountainous border regions, which have been responsible for recurring attacks on security personnel and civilians.
