A mine explosion in the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine killed five people, including a child.
The Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported, citing Oleh Sinyubov, head of the regional military administration in Kharkiv, that the victims were in a car on a road when the mine exploded.
According to preliminary data, the car was carrying six people, four adults and two children.
Both the Russian and Ukrainian sides were using mines, and explosives have already caused heavy losses since the launch of the Russian military operation in Ukraine in February 2022.
