Doha: The Pakistani army announced the killing of five militants during an intelligence operation in Balochistan province, in the southwest of the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Pakistani army said the five militants were killed after a clash and Heavy exchange of fire in the Dera Bugti District, adding that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from them.

The Pakistani army has been engaged in an open war with armed groups in various parts of the country for several years.
