An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck northeastern Panama.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake occurred 59 km north of the Nargana Islands in Panama at a depth of 10 km.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
