Doha: An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck southern Mexico Sunday. The earthquake occurred 59 km from the city of Whites City, at a depth of 59 km, the US Geological Survey said. There have been no reports of material damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
According to Qatar News Agency, in September 2017, a powerful earthquake struck the capital, Mexico City, and the neighboring states of Murillo and Puebla, killing 370 people.
