Johannesburg: An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of South Africa on Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey said in a statement that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.

No information has yet been released regarding casualties or material losses resulting from the earthquake.
