Kermadec Islands: A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday the Kermadec Islands off the coast of New Zealand.
According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 80 kilometers, but no tsunami warnings were issued.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake.
The Kermadec Islands are located about 1,000 km northeast of the North Island of New Zealand and are frequently subjected to strong earthquakes.
