5.0-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Oaxaca Southwestern Mexico


Doha: A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the state of Oaxaca in southwestern Mexico the US Geological Survey said the quake struck 24 km from the city of Colonia Juarez in the state, at a depth of 52.7 km.



According to Qatar News Agency, so far, there have been no reports of material damage or human losses from the earthquake.



In September 2017, a powerful earthquake hit Mexico City and the neighboring states of Morelos and Puebla, killing 370 people.
