41 Martyrs in Ongoing Israeli Occupation Shelling of Gaza Strip

Gaza City: Forty-one Palestinians were martyred and others injured, most of them children and women, since dawn on Sunday, in Israeli airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported, citing medical sources, that more than 20 Palestinians were martyred, and 100 others were injured as a result of the Israeli shelling of the tents of displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. It also noted that two Palestinians were martyred as a result of the Israeli shelling of a house east of Khan Yunis.

Nine others were martyred, and others were injured after the Israeli occupation shelling of a house north of the town of Al-Zawaida, in the central Gaza Strip. Additionally, ten people were also martyred in an Israeli shelling of a house in Jabalia in the north, WAFA added.

Severe damage was inflicted on the facilities of Al-Awda Hospital in the Tal Al-Zaatar area of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, after Israeli aircraft launched a series of violent airstrikes in the vicinity.

Areas east and north of Khan Yunis have been subjected to heavy artillery shelling, and the sounds of explosions have been rocking Gaza City since dawn on Sunday.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip, leaving approximately 174,000 Palestinians martyred or wounded, most of them children and women. Meanwhile, over 11,000 remain missing.
