4 Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern and Eastern Lebanon

Beirut: Four people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas in southern and eastern Lebanon since Thursday evening, according to a statement from Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli warplanes launched a series of strikes on southern Lebanon and the eastern Bekaa Valley. These attacks have raised concerns regarding the fragile ceasefire agreement that was supposed to bring peace to the region.

A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon went into effect on November 27, which called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern border villages and towns within 60 days. The Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18. However, Israeli occupation forces have remained stationed at five positions, continuing to carry out violations of the agreement, which has led to increased tensions and instability in the area.
