4.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Dominican Republic.

Punta Cana: An earthquake measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tuesday the city of Punta Cana, eastern Dominican Republic. According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 3.5 km. There have been no reports of human losses or material damage so far. The Dominican Republic is a country frequently affected by natural disasters. These include drought, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, landslides, severe temperature fluctuations, and tsunamis. The recent earthquake adds to the list of natural challenges the nation faces regularly.
