3rd Indian Mango Exhibition to Launch at Souq Waqif on June 18

Doha: The 3rd Indian Mango Exhibition, known as the Hamba Exhibition, is set to begin at Souq Waqif's Eastern Square on June 18, continuing for a span of 10 days. The event is organized by the Private Engineering Office in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Qatar, featuring participation from 35 companies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition has established itself as a prominent event in the region's seasonal specialty calendar, aligning with Qatar's touristic and cultural activities. The previous exhibition drew over 114,400 visitors, with sales exceeding 130,000 kilograms of approximately 54 varieties of Indian mangoes, along with various related food products such as pickles, desserts, and Indian cuisine.

This year's event is anticipated to have the largest participation since its inception, with more than 35 Indian companies involved, compared to 30 companies last year. The exhibition will introduce several new mango varieties to the Qatari market for the first time.

Hamba Exhibition general supervisor, Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi, noted that the event's continuation for a third year reflects its success. Originally intended as a one-time event, the exhibition's significant public interest led to its establishment as an annual event. This year, visitor numbers and sales are expected to surpass previous records due to the increased number of participating companies, a broader range of products, and the introduction of new mango varieties.

The exhibition will be open to visitors daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
