Local sources had earlier reported that the gunmen raided the village of Tungan Dutsi in an attack that lasted until late Friday morning. The assailants set several buildings on fire and shot residents who tried to flee, resulting in at least 50 fatalities. The number of individuals abducted during the attack remains undetermined.
