Zamfara state: At least 38 people were killed in an armed attack in Zamfara State in northwestern Nigeria.

According to Qatar News Agency, Nigerian police stated on Saturday that the attack targeted a village in Zamfara State, resulting in multiple deaths. The police have reported that calm has been restored and that they are actively patrolling the area to prevent further incidents.

Local sources had earlier reported that the gunmen raided the village of Tungan Dutsi in an attack that lasted until late Friday morning. The assailants set several buildings on fire and shot residents who tried to flee, resulting in at least 50 fatalities. The number of individuals abducted during the attack remains undetermined.
