The initial death toll was 14 Palestinians, with dozens injured, indicating that the death toll is likely to rise due to serious injuries.
Two citizens were killed in an Israeli shelling near the al Majdal station on Salah al Din Street in the town of al-Qarara, north of the city. The Civil Defense stated that one of its members succumbed to wounds he sustained in shelling a few days ago west of Khan Yunis.
