16 Palestinians Killed in New Israeli Bombardment of Gaza Strip

Gaza city: 16 Palestinians were killed and others wounded in raids and shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on Friday in various areas in the northern, central, and southern Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources in Gaza reported that two citizens were killed and others were wounded after Israeli aircraft targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Al Awda Hospital announced the deaths of three civilians, including two children, and the wounding of nine others during an Israeli attack on civilian gatherings near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area.

Six Palestinians waiting for aid were also killed by Israeli forces in the Zikim area, northwest of the Gaza Strip, while two children were killed in a bombing that targeted the Musa bin Nusair School, which houses displaced persons in the al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City.

In the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, a citizen was killed in an Israeli bombardment, while a girl was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house near the Imam al-Shafi'i Mosque in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.

The latest statistics published by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza on the victims of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, earlier Friday, indicated that 61,827 people were killed and 155,275 others were injured.
