Kyiv: Ukrainian officials announced that 12 people were killed in an attack by Russian forces on Saturday evening across various areas of Ukraine.
According to Qatar News Agency, officials said the attack involved the launch of a number of drones and missiles, which also wounded 17 people, including four children, in addition to damaging dozens of residential buildings and energy infrastructure facilities in several areas of the country.
Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on his Telegram account that the attack included different cities and that Russia used a variety of weapons, including missiles, attack drones, and aerial bombs, noting that the damage was concentrated in six regions.
The Ukrainian army accused Russia of bombing a school where elderly people had taken refuge in the town of Sudzha, located in the Kyiv-occupied part of the Russian Kursk region, confirming that dozens of civilians were trapped underneath the rubble.
